At Nyereka Tech, we believe in empowering the next generation of innovators, and recently, we had the privilege of organizing a one-day workshop for primary school children. The aim? To introduce them to the world of coding, robotics, and creative problem-solving using Arduino Code Blocks, all made possible with the incredible InnoKit.
Why Start Early?
We recognize that the earlier we expose children to technology and coding, the more confident and capable they become. The primary school years are a crucial time for developing foundational skills, and what better way to do that than by making learning fun and interactive?
Arduino Code Blocks: Building the Basics
Our workshop kicked off with an exciting introduction to Arduino Code Blocks, a visual programming platform that simplifies coding for beginners. The children were quick to grasp the concepts, using drag-and-drop blocks to create code, all while having a blast.
Unleashing Creativity Through Robotics
The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the hands-on robotics activity. Equipped with InnoKit, the children embarked on an adventure to build and program their own robots. Witnessing their enthusiasm and creativity was truly inspiring. From designing obstacle-avoidance robots to creating mini dance performances, their imaginations knew no bounds.
